A Spiritual Lent

The first day of Lent is Ash Wednesday. The ashes symbolize repentance.
Spiritually repentance means to give up error thoughts and error beliefs. The
error thoughts are your beliefs that you are in bondage to the world around
you. All things are possible to those who believe. Once you realize who you
truly are, you will realize that in order to change your life, you have to
change your way of thinking. With every thought our brain sends vibrations
into the atmosphere around us. The vibrations turn our thoughts into
manifestations. “ Know Thyself” was inscribed on the temple of Apollo at
Delphi. It and it should be inscribed in our own mind.
A spiritual crucifixion
The word crucifixion means the crossing out in consciousness of certain
errors that have become fixed states of mind.
Jesus’ crucifixion was a final step in a work that had been going on in
Him for thirty three years and when He arose, He was entirely free from
carnal mind with all it’s limitations. He had overcome all the carnal
tendencies which He had taken on that He might free the race from bondage.
Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus. It’s inner meaning is
the awakening and raising to spiritual consciousness of the I am in man.
The resurrection lifts up all the faculties of mind until they conform to the
absolute ideas of Divine Mind and this renewal of the mind makes a
complete transformation of the body so that every function works in divine
order and every cell becomes immortal.
“If the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwelleth in you, he that raised Christ Jesus from the dead shall give life also to your mortal bodies through his Spirit that dwelleth in you”. Romans 8:11
{I deny the self that I may unite with the selfless. I give up the mortal that I
may attain the immortal. I dissolve the thought of the physical body that I
may realize the spiritual body. }
