In this moment, there is both one of you, and two!

 

What do we mean? If you can see the Self as united in oneness - as mankind as a whole, and not just as separate people - the world can begin to be knitted together.  There is much energy afoot that is creating this sense of oneness and brotherhood.  It is a growing phenomenon.

 

But there is also the continuing need for the drama of individuality pitted against the outer forces -- of relationships, of global issues, and of natural events.  The self, feeling alone and rather helpless against these mighty forces, seeks to feel the unity but struggles with the apparent sense of puniness.  It is the eternal dilemma, made much more evident nowadays as challenges increase and the mandate for unity feels more urgent.

 

And yet, even as the heart seeks consolation and the chance to send out its love, so does the drama unfold.  Self versus Other is the Olympic game!  Blue versus Red states.  Russia vs. Georgia.  West vs. East.  It is endless.

 

The answer is not in the drama but in the interior work.  The answer is in accepting the inner division within your very self, and reconciling it with the heart's desire to be made one.  The answer is - as it always has been - in love.

 

Love is the glue.  Love heals all divides.  Love allows the self to be individualized and joined at the same time.  Love is more powerful than duality.  And than aloneness.  Love is the right choice.

Take Self there.  Take self to love.  Let love exist.  If something else is filling the moment, or the places within you, replace it as soon as possible with some form of love.  It can be brotherhood.  It can be romance.  It can simply be acceptance.  Let love be you.  And the conundrum disappears.  As simple as that.
