Ask the Astrology Guy

by Rev. Jeff Pica

Hi  Astrology Guy,

My career as a freelance graphic designer just does not seem to take off while my last two relationships have just ended nowhere. I am really getting tired of my love life just not working out. Would I ever be able to settle down and get married and have successful career?

I am born on 7th January 1988 10:15 am in Karachi, Pakistan.

Thank you.

Sajid

Hi Sajid,

Thanks for writing in. Let's take a brief look at your natal chart.

You have a highly beneficial aspect in your chart called a Grand Trine, where three planets form a triangle of easy, flowing movement, in your case the energies of Jupiter in the Second House, Moon in the Sixth House, and Saturn in the Tenth House, all in Fire Signs. This is a great configuration of energies for a successful career in life. Jupiter in the Second House generates luck and abundance when it comes to money and possessions; Moon in the Sixth House gives you the opportunity to have an emotional connection to your work; and Saturn in the Tenth House denotes leadership in your career, where hard work and responsibility will always pay off. Your Grand Trine denotes the coveted ability to make money (Second House) from your daily work (Sixth House) which also encompasses your chosen career (Tenth House.)

Oddly enough, the delay in your career you speak of is most likely because of Saturn in the Tenth House of career mentioned above. You're best chance of career success will come after transiting Saturn conjoins your natal Saturn (called a Saturn Return) which occurs for all of us (the first time) around age 28 to 30. It is in our Saturn Returns that we think about our future, our next phase of life, what is important and what is not. It's a maturing time. That is why society, in general, sees a marked difference between those under and over 30. (Similarly, if someone has natal Saturn in their Seventh House of marriage, it's best not to marry until after their Saturn Return.) The reasoning behind this is that you have to experience the ripening effects of Saturn before your goals and ambitions can be actualized. Your Saturn Return comes in 2017.

Good news is that transiting Jupiter will trine your Midheaven this Spring, 2015. Look for ease of work and career progress. 2016 is an important year for you when transiting Saturn will conjoin your Midheaven (the cusp of the Tenth House of career.) Here, earned career acknowledgment will come from hard work (Saturn) which will also be accompanied with career advancement, as transiting Jupiter squares your Midheaven.

You have a configuration of aspects in your natal chart called a T-Square. Venus (the planet of love) makes an opposing aspect to your Moon (your emotions, feelings, and sensitivities,) which denotes a very pleasing personality, very sweet, amiable, likeable, and popular. Bad Boy Pluto makes an aspect to both Venus and the Moon which adds a very passionate nature, charming and deep, probably with swings of highs and lows. In general, the relationships in your life will echo your own qualities of being loving, nurturing, and passionate, additionally our relationships can also get heated, intense, and passive aggressive. Pluto influenced relationships are usually marked as on again, off again, or all or nothing kinds of relationships, and usually marked as highly sexual.

Your South Node is in your Seventh House of marriage, which usually denotes that most, if not all, of your close relationships are karmic in nature, where the two of you have shared previous lifetimes together. Now, in this lifetime, you may experience your built up couple karma, which can be easy or difficult. Because your North Node is in the First House, your greatest path to soul progression in this lifetime is to learn to be on your own, an independent soul, and not rely on past life behavior of submerging your identity into your marriage partner. This does not mean you can't or shouldn't be married, not at all, just to be your own independent person with your own life as well.

You have a bit of a push/pull when it comes to your Venus. On the one hand it's in the rather airy sign of Aquarius, so you can be aloof, maybe hard to pin down. On the other hand, your Venus is in the watery Twelfth House, full of day dreams, flowers, and a pure love for all humanity.

My feeling is that you may have an idealistic view of coupling, or envision a particular way a relationship should look like, a perfection that may be in the least hard to live up to if not attainable at all. In turn, when a relationship doesn't live up to your expectations or possess the desire you crave, you knowingly (or unknowingly) go into your aloof and space-needing self.

2015 is the perfect year for you to reassess your goals, expectations, responsibilities, wants, desires and duties when it comes to relating to others, especially a romantic partner, as transiting Saturn makes a square aspect to your Descendant (the cusp of your Seventh House of marriage.) 2015 is not a good time to start a new relationship, but a great time to take stock. Important relationships may fall away, but that is an outward sign that you are eliminating internally what doesn't serve your best interests anymore or that is not growth promoting. Fall of 2015 will be this period's most intense time, and will gradually ease up by the holidays. Great news is that transiting Jupiter conjoins the cusp of your Descendant during the Fall of 2015 as well, preparing you and ushering in a wonderful period as Jupiter transits your Seventh House, through to almost the end of 2016. Now you're ready to come into the world and present yourself. It's a great time of increasing your social contacts, meeting new people, expanding your circles, and the good chance of bringing in a life partner.

I hope this has helped.

Jeff

Hi  Astrology Guy,

Thank you so very much for your in-depth reading. Your reading has really helped increase my optimism about my future.

As you mentioned, fall 2015 will be a time for change since I will be leaving to Europe for completing my masters.

Thank you so much for your time and patience.
