August produces hot temperatures but its also hot in the skies with August being very busy. We have a full Moon lunar eclipse, total new Moon solar eclipse, Mercury  retrograde and a continued influence put on the sign of Leo which started back on July 20th when Mars moved into Leo.

The signs most affected in August are Aries, Aquarius, Leo, Virgo, Sagittarius, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn and Pisces.

Uranus turns retrograde on August 3rd early in the morning in Aries. Retrograde planets tend to do an overview of the past and what needs to be more closely looked at inside ourselves so we can learn to let go of what is holding us back. A time of healing. Those with later degrees in Aries are feeling the need to do just that until Uranus turns direct on January 2nd, 2018.

We have a full Moon lunar eclipse in Aquarius at 15 degrees (2:11PM EDT) on August 7, 2017. Leo is the opposite sign of Aquarius. Aquarius is about working with groups and Leo is more independent. The group becomes the center of attentions rather than just one person.

It is hard for Leo to share the spotlight with Sun, Mars and North Node in Leo opposing this full Moon in Aquarius but the lesson for Leo is too integrate their individual mind with the group mind.

As many of you know, eclipses are a tighter alignment between the Sun and Moon. The gravitational pull is stronger and the influence lasts up to six months.

Leo awakens the creative power we have within us and Aquarius wants to shape the collective dream so this lunar eclipse activates a huge amount of creative energies in the world at large and for the individuals who have Sun, Moon or rising signs in Aquarius or Leo.

A spiritual awakening is calling Leo, Aquarius, Capricorn and Pisces as a Yod (Finger of God) is involved in this full Moon eclipse. The sign of Leo is trying to find a way to adjust their own psychological needs to their work and dreams. You can't do it all on your own. If you do it all on your own, if you have Sun, Moon or rising in Leo, it creates more resentments from others than needed. Listen to others and learn.

Yod's create tension and opportunities at the same time. Those with Leo, Capricorn and Pisces Sun, Moon or rising could be in the right place at the right time if they work with others to find the balance in all forms of relationships. Work with others and the opportunities are endless. Work against others and stress and strain is the result. This is a time to fly high not too create more obstacles that keep you from flying. Mercury turns retrograde on August 12th at 9PM EDT. It will turn direct on September 5th just before a full Moon in Pisces on September 6th. Mercury stations retrograde at 11 degrees of Virgo and will station direct at 28 degrees of Leo on September 5th.

Those who have Sun, Moon or rising in Virgo are reflecting more on the choices they have made in their lives and wondering if they could have made better choices for a more balanced life. Haven't we all done that?

By the time Mercury turns direct, Virgo is on its way to organize its life in school and in the work place. Yes, I did say school. By September 5th schools are in forward motion as the resistance to go back to school during this deep retrograde period, at the end of August and beginning of September, is not the best time to think about moving towards a Fall season. Yikesssssssssss.

The total new Moon solar eclipse echoes again the sign of Leo at 28 degrees (2:30PM EDT) on August 21st. Remember, Mercury will station direct on September 5th at 28 degrees of Leo. That is the same degree as the total new Moon solar eclipse in August. And, the new Moon at the end of July started at 0 degrees of Leo.

If you have Sun, Moon or rising in Leo your will be effected regardless of the degree they are in because the new Moon at zero degrees to the new Moon solar eclipse at 28 degrees covers the full spectrum of creative energy that Leo is about. Whatever needs to be communicated in the lives of Leo will be very noticeable around September 5th. If your on the bad side of someone who is a Leo, stay clear. It's the female Lion that does the killing. Regardless of the gender, this energy for Leo is explosive around September 5th, 6th and 7th.

There is a communication breakdown for the cardinal signs that carries over from July. Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn are still being tested in relationships at work and in their personal lives. Balance between work and personal life is needed. I think at this point these signs are getting it since the cardinal grand cross has showed up in the new or full Moon charts over the last 6 months.

This total new Moon solar eclipse is very potent as it will be visible starting in the North Western part of America. It is being called “ the Great American Solar Eclipse,” because it will be the first visible across North America since 99 years ago. The areas to get the best view of this total new Moon solar eclipse will be Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia and Carolina's before it moves back to a normal new waxing Moon.

These are the areas that are most effected with the creative potential of Leo. Issues that are a part of the 5th house ruled by Leo are: Children, love affairs, speculation and gambling, love given as well as politics. Look to the house that is ruled by Leo in your natal chart and see which issues will active over the next six months of your life. Also, weather patterns and UFO sightings could be more prevalent in the areas mentioned above from the direct path of the eclipse.

President Trump will be affected as his rising sign is at 29 degrees of Leo. Since the eclipse energy lasts for 6 months, the next 6 months will either propel him forward with great accomplishments or cast a shadow on many of the things he promised Americans. He has until February of 2018 to gain the respect of those who voted for him and those who did not.

The Sun moves into the shy sign of Virgo on August 22nd. With all of the drama created from a huge amount of Leo energy its nice to have some simple and kind energy from Virgo. Virgo is so opposite of Leo. They don't care about having lots of attentions and love to serve rather than follow. Unless a Virgo has other planets or rising in Leo, they are very different.

Saturn stations direct on August 25th at 21 degrees of Sagittarius. Sagittarius has been through a lot over the last 2 years or so. Responsibilities at work increased and trying to find one's place in life. Sagittarius out of all the signs knows how to get through any situations in life with a smile and a funny joke. They are the most lucky and invincible. They may be completing a degree in higher education as this sign is most likely to go for a Masters Degree or PHD.

Saturn will enter the sign of Capricorn on December 20, 2017 where it feels most comfortable since Saturn is the natural ruler of Capricorn. Hang in there Capricorn's. Some peace and quiet is about to come your way by the end of this year to calm Pluto in Capricorn down. It will take till January of 2020 till Saturn conjuncts transiting Pluto in Capricorn.

Could this be the time that the karma set in motion by big business and big government (Capricorn) comes back to haunt them. 2020 brings in a new Presidential election cycle. If you think this last one was interesting, you haven't seen anything yet.

Venus moves into Leo on August 26th and Mercury in retrograde motion moves into Leo on August 31st. My God...... The Lion and Lioness are not getting a break until the middle of September. Lessons surrounding communication is relationships. How are your communication skills affecting all of your relationships. Are you being too pushy and demanding? Do you need so much attention that you forget there are others people in the room? Find the balance.

Their are plenty of admirers for the those with Sun, Moon or rising in Leo from July 20th till September 20th. If other signs are dating someone with Leo in their chart, be careful if you want to commit or wait till after September 20th. Leo is in too much of a party and experimental stage to settle down. But, all things come to pass. Be patient with them.
