Planetary Shifts in 2009: Are You An 11 or a 2?

If you think the pace of life is already too quick, then you had better strap yourself in for an action-packed New Year. Expansive Jupiter moves into quantum-thinking Aquarius on January 5th for a full year.
You are going to need to make a choice on how you react to this quickening. You can step into higher humanitarian service during this time of rapid change, or you can hunker down in a cave in Montana. The numerology of 2009 explains the choice.
In numerology, 2 + 0 + 0 + 9 = 11. You can operate at the higher frequency of this master number or reduce the number 1 + 1 = 2. Eleven is a number of stepping into higher humanitarian service. It is the number of the visionary, the mystic, and the disseminator of higher knowledge.
There is no judgment to be made if you prefer to live under the frequency of the number 2. Here, you focus on relationship needs, seeing both sides of the situation as a mediator would do, and practicing patient diplomacy. A two is more focused on the personal, subjective world, and an eleven is working in the larger, objective world. Odds are that you will express a bit of both frequencies this year.
Again, there is no judgment on which frequency you choose to make dominant in your life. But you will need to step into your choice fully because transforming Pluto, now passing through Capricorn until 2024, requires that you commit yourself to your path of authentic integrity.
Pluto in Capricorn destroys and rebuilds the very foundation of your life. The world has already had a taste of this energy through infrastructure issues such as bridges badly in need of repair, the outdated structure of the global financial system, and personal & national credit/debt problems.
On a personal level, you already cleaned your closets of clutter in 2008. If you haven’t made space in your life, it is important to do so quickly. This rebirthing energy has not been on the planet since the Revolutionary War and Industrial Revolution, and it is ready to make itself known in your life in 2009.
Now, you must take pragmatic steps to create the reality that has been in the philosophical “wouldn’t it be nice?” stage for thirteen years. And to kick it all off, risk-taking Jupiter moves into revolutionary Aquarius, building towards a triple whammy that will bless your life.
Before explaining the triple whammy that will be strong between May and December, it’s best to first understand how Jupiter operates in your life. Jupiter is the benefic mentor that coaches you into taking a risk on your life, a risk that requires you to expand your belief system. You are urged to go beyond the nice, neat comfort zone that created safe walls for your life experience.
Aquarius is associated with innovative technology, computers, astrology, and the quest to revolutionize your life and your view of the world. Jupiter in Aquarius catalyzes you to break free of your limiting box. Pluto in Capricorn destroys the box so that you cannot go back.
The triple whammy mentioned above is the alignment of Jupiter, Chiron, and Neptune in Aquarius. Neptune bursts through illusion to open to a higher truth. Chiron was a half-horse, half-human centaur known as the wounded healer. He helps you find alternative strategies to come up with a generally workable solution when you are caught between a rock and a hard place. Jupiter wants you to hurry to new heights of expression.
It is difficult to predict the changes that will come because the last time this triple alignment was even close was the year 1523. The first marine insurance was made available, peasants in southern Germany revolted, and Portuguese settlers were expelled from China at that time. Oceans, revolutions, and suffering people are all a part of this energy.
In 2009, new attempts to help whales and regulate world whaling countries are in the works. The issue of nuclear and wave-driven power methods will be important topics. New drugs, both for healing and recreationally destructive uses, will be introduced this year. The internet will begin to go to new levels under this influence.
On a personal level, Jupiter wants you to take giant steps to create freedom and prosperity at large levels. Chiron has you feeling caught between responsibility and freedom. Be willing to take half steps to that larger goal in your life in order to blend the two. But first, Neptune asks you to go off on a vision quest to really tune into what your spirit wants to do.
The New Year has great potential for rapidly manifesting your creative vision of your new reality. Allow yourself to go beyond your comfort zone while expanding your belief system. Small steps now lead to giant steps later.

Aries (March 21-April 19): Take advantage of the quantum quickening by expanding your circle of groups, friends and organizations. Take your work out to the larger masses and make new connections.
Taurus (April 20-May 20): It’s time to polish your public and career image. If your web site or brochure is dated, revolutionize it with cutting edge technology. Step into leadership for the greater good.
Gemini (May 21-June 20): Travel to an exotic locale, somewhere off the beaten path. If you are not up for a journey, the other options include publishing your book, bringing out the minister within, or teaching/learning higher wisdom.
Cancer (June 21-July 22): It’s time to cut loose the energetic vampires from your life so that you can balance giving and receiving – it is a two way street, you know! Making a quantum shift requires that you use the help and resources of others to accomplish projects in a much bigger way than you can do on your own.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22): It is a partnership year, be it in business or romance. The thing is, you must change the rules about how you do business and romance. Blend traditional and non-traditional methods of sharing. Practice adaptability in all types of relationships or you could find yourself out in the cold.
Virgo (Aug. 23- Sept.22): Sorry Virgo, the sign of work gets more work this year. But that probably makes you happy, come to think of it. Perhaps the blessing is that you will create easier and more efficient ways to keep up with the increasing load. Take your work out to the masses.
Libra (Sept 23-Oct 22): The sign of relationships gets romance this year. Open your heart to increasing the romance in your life, regardless if you are already in relationship or searching for love. Working with children or creative pursuits is favored. Just remember to keep it light and put away expectations.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Renew your home base this year. This can come through a move, remodeling, or changes surrounded family. Invite good people into your private life for increased nurturing. Home based businesses are favored.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec.21): The teacher in you comes out this year. Just remember to keep it brief so you don’t overload people with too much information. You can also write, start a new web site, or go off on short adventures. Consider a new car or other mode of transportation.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan.19): Instead of working so hard, manifest ways to build your resources without the struggle. You are Divinely connected to Source, so allow the Universe to help you. Expanding your income potential is favored.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb.18): Show the world just how weird you can be! Well, at least allow your eclectic inventor to demonstrate new methods to the world. If you are willing to put some face time out in the world, you will greatly increase the amount of people who hear your message.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20): Already psychic by nature, this is the year to open to the outer realms of the cosmos. However, make sure you have cleansed your own psychological gremlins in the closet before venturing into the land of intangible and mystical visions. Create some alone time this year to better understand yourself.
