Become a
modern yogi in an ancient lineage. Share your love of yoga by becoming a
teacher. ISHTA trainings provide a modern, individualized, integrated
approach to the ancient science of yoga. Through in-depth study and
lectures, Yogiraj Alan Finger and his senior teachers cover physical
postures, anatomy, the energetic body, breath, purification techniques,
meditation, Tantric philosophy, and Ayurveda. The ISHTA-trained practitioner
learns to teach safely, confidently, and compassionately to the individual.
Our philosophy is to recognize the inherent strengths of each student and to
enhance these strengths through personal practice. We offer Yoga Alliance
certified teacher training programs, plus specialty courses and workshops. Begins: January 31, 2012 (200-Hour) and March 20, 2012 (300-Hour). Length of Program: Trainings are held on selected Tuesday evenings and weekends over a 3 to 4 month period. Pre-requisites: 300-Hour students must have completed 200-Hour yoga teacher training. 300-Hour students who have completed a 200-Hour training outside of ISHTA will need to complete the Bridge Program in order to enroll in the 300-Hour program. The
ancients perceived 12 energetic frequencies choreographed by the angle of
the sun’s rays. The twelve frequencies correspond to the meridian system of
oriental medicine and the Chinese zodiac, and are the basis of the 24-hour
day. In conjunction with the moon, these energies form a template for
aligning human endeavor with Natural Law. Participants will have a clear
understanding of how to use the lunar phase card (included in registration)
as a foundation for transcendent health (Not a Hatha workshop). Program Begins: January 28, 2012 9:30am to 6pm Length of Program: one day Pre-requisites: None - open to all Application Deadline: January 22 for early registration Tuition: $90/sliding scale; $120 late; optional housing Friday and/or Saturday $35 per night |
