The New Truly Rich

by Sam Argenio

The new truly rich vary in age, race and size. They come in an array of colors. But you may often find them in the form of teenagers. The new rich would never close a deal that did not benefit everyone involved. They move with a quiet alacrity, empathy and kindness that is redefining the human race. They faithfully, knowingly trust that things will work out to everyone’s benefit and that they will make good money while caring for community, environment and upholding their integrity. The new truly rich start companies that are in step with their ideals. They do not limit themselves to the old business models. They don’t need to act aggressively or push people around. They’ve preempted these flimsy, base behaviors by living who/what they really are. Their base is power because they have the courage to live from spirit, not ego. They are aware of and open to the possibilities and they choose ALL. They know that the outcome does not need to be limited or fully slanted only in their direction. Not falling into the usual narcissistic/selfish approach to business, they choose ALL: a business deal, a house sold, a company started, a charity supported… all conditions can be met, whether protecting the Earth, caring for a labor force, being certain everyone is happy, and “doing the right thing.” The new rich live from the power of knowing that they never need to step on anyone to climb the ladder. They faithfully pursue their enthusiasm, never ignoring or neglecting the deeper callings of their integrity. They put aside the old model of groveling, hoarding and the sycophantic approach. Instead, they live in power, innovation, generosity and knowing that there is always abundance as long as they live from enthusiasm

To better illustrate the difference between real power and the flimsy realm of force (where so much business is done), David R Hawkins’ book Power VS Force explains:

Power appeals to what uplifts, dignifies, and ennobles. Force must always be justified, whereas power requires no justification. Force is associated with partial, power with the whole

If we analyze the nature of force, it becomes readily apparent why it must always succumb to power; this is in accordance with one of the basic laws of physics. Because force automatically creates counter-force, its effect is limited by definition. We could say that force is a movement – it goes from here to there (or tries to) against opposition. Power, on the other hand, is still. It’s like a standing field that doesn’t move… Force always moves against something whereas power doesn’t move against anything at all. Force is incomplete and therefore has to be fed energy constantly. Power is total and complete in itself and requires nothing from outside… Polarization always implies conflict; its cost, then, is always high. Because force incites polarization, it inevitably produces a win/lose dichotomy; and because somebody always loses, enemies are created. Constantly faced with enemies, force requires constant defense. Defensiveness is invariably costly, whether in the marketplace, politics or international affairs

This new generation of rich is confident in the possibilities. They choose profit and integrity. They live in the realm of contentment because they are living from power, not fear. Imagine a society where nothing is forced and no one is taken advantage of. Think of how it would be if integrity preempted fear, if trust were to override greed. Where one’s intentions were the best for all involved and profit was a part of the balance, where revenue was a natural flowing energy based around one’s integrity. Fear could not live here because there would be respect for all (one) instead of the illusion of self. Imagine moving from the trust and enthusiasm that everything always works out as it “needs” to. Imagine a world where business people are not balled up in stress and anxiety, where deals do not stem from fear. Instead, associates live from confidence that a deal will work if it needs to, if it’s the right thing for all involved.

Bob Burg and John David Mann write, in their book It’s Not About You:

What you have to give, you offer least of all through what you say; in greater part through what you do; but in greatest part through who you are… Lead from the heart… The more you yield the more power you have… The substance of influence is pull… not push

Their book is a testament to how the new crop may lead. How one can grow revenue and increase sales with a pull instead of a push approach. The new generation of business professionals is aware of the greater energy Source and how all is connected, how all is flowing from one common Source. This energy is loving and giving, and when you emulate it, you find your greatest bliss, presence and power. The flimsy surface desires and the material world are tiny by comparison. The petty dealings, trading integrity for a few bucks, fade as you move into a higher place, one that is beyond surface pleasures, one that is deeply, deeply fulfilling!

The new truly rich are grounded in the realm of power. They live from the love that binds community. They choose profits and a clear conscience. They are fearless. Living in this realm brings power or fear-less-ness. Living in the realm of the old rich, in greed and hoarding, brings fear-full-ness. And so the new true rich are sending this message to the Universe: I am confident. I am trusting of abundance

They don’t live this way because they are trying to be good or because someone said it was right. They live this way naturally, without trying or needing a reminder because it is who they are! This is what feels best. Living from integrity, they choose true power and align with fulfillment. They live who they are, not what a stereotype dictates. The flimsy, fleeting, ephemeral surface happiness of the material world, of taking advantage of others, stepping on people, being a shark and “winning,” all fade into the unappealing. The new rich live in real power, making deals that benefit everyone.
