Astrological Forecast for December 2018

December is a special month as we prepare and celebrate the holiday season as well as ring in a New Year 2019. I will talk about 2019 in my January column that will post just after Christmas Day.

December 1 starts off with Mercury entering the sign of Scorpio in retrograde motion setting the stage for deep insightful adjustments for those with Sun, Moon or rising in Scorpio. Financial balancing act has been going on with Scorpio over the last 6 weeks. We have seen a tuff balancing act with Wall Street in November.

Venus enters Scorpio on December 2^nd. The combination of Mercury moving into deep retrogration at the start of December and Venus moving into Scorpio on the second is like night and day when it comes to wanting to spend lots of money and knowing that the budget is tight.

Also, the things that bring joys to the sign of Scorpio in the material world and in their romantic life will be in their face when Mercury stations direct on December 6. If President Trump can make a deal with China regarding trade tariffs, December could bounce back big time at the start of Mercury station direct.

Scorpio and its opposite sign Taurus as well as the other fixed signs of Aquarius and Leo are really enjoying this holiday season with an increase of energy and romance till Venus moves into Sagittarius on January 7, 2019.

The new Moon on December 7 is in Sagittarius at 15 degrees (2:20AM EST). Those with Sun, Moon or rising in Sagittarius are at a cross roads, 15 degrees is the middle degree of 30, and ready to start a new direction in all areas of life based on choices made during the Mercury retrograde period which started on November 16 and stationed direct this month on the 6.

This new Moon brings a fresh start for Sagittarius and its opposite sign Gemini to move forward with greater knowledge and skills. Students in school at all levels of education are eager to study and enjoying themselves even thou the homework is piled on.

With an exact conjunction between Mars and Neptune in Pisces on this new Moon day, it is the sign of Pisces that could fall in love. But, is it an illusion? This could be the time that internet dating reaches an all-time high in memberships as this combination falls in the fifth house of romance.

With both Mars and Neptune in Pisces square to Jupiter, Moon and Sun in Sagittarius, overseas dating is mostly a dream (Neptune) and webcam dating becomes fantasia. Be careful when dating online and don’t send any large amount of money overseas. Scams will be high. But, Pisces could fall in love for real also.

Mercury enters the sign of Sagittarius on the December 12 and this could be a special date for new immigration policies that started on the 7. Could our government be making bold steps to close the border? Close down the government? Or, maybe find a peaceful solution to this intense issue of our times? Anything is possible.

The Sun moves into the sign of Capricorn on December 21 and we start the Winter Solstice at 5:23PM EST. Happy Birthday to the sign of Capricorn.

The full Moon on the 22^nd is in Cancer at a critical degree of zero. Cancer is the opposite sign of Capricorn. The need for work in balance with home. Personal vocational drive verses family life. If you have Sun, Moon or rising in either of these signs you are finding the balance between your home life and your vocational life.

This could be a wonderful time for those with Sun, Moon or rising in Capricorn and Cancer as they find the discipline to put their lives in order. The government of America may find they can get things done when they work together.
