Celebrate Samhain! October 24th in Nashua, NH

On Sunday, October 24th, witches, Pagans, and wisefolk from across New England will gather in Nashua, New Hampshire for Celebrate Samhain – a day-long festival dedicated to observing and celebrating the traditions of Samhain. Now in its fifteenth year, Celebrate Samhain is one of the preeminent festivals of its kind – attracting all manner of magical folk from throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Falling between the Autumnal Equinox and Winter Solstice, the Pagan holiday of Samhain (pronounced sow-when) marks the close of the light half and oncoming of the dark half of the year. The veil between the mortal and spirit realms is believed to be at its thinnest at Samhain, making it an auspicious time to commune with ancestors and loved ones who’ve crossed-over.

For modern Pagans, Samhain remains one of the most important festivals in the Wheel of the Year; one of the four “Greater Sabbats.”

This year’s Celebrate Samhain features a number of author presentations and workshops to get you in the spirit of the season and enhance your magical practice. Browse must-have wares offered by the finest mystical vendors and artisans in New England. Discover what the future holds with a psychic reading from a gifted intuitive. Be enchanted by a Celtic chanteuse or entranced by the lilting song of a Native style flutist. Finally, close the day with a moving open ritual honoring those who have passed.

Featured presenters include:

• Best-selling author and witch, Orion Foxwood, author of The Faery Teachings, The Candle and the Crossroads, The Flame in the Cauldron and Mountain Conjure and Southern Root Work will be presenting "Ancestral and Graveyard Lore and Practices in Appalachian and Southern Conjure.” Schedule permitting, he will be adding a second talk – stay tuned!

• Author, witch, and founder of New England Curiosities, Roxie Zwicker has been communing with spirits since she was young. She has led professional ghost tours of New England for 20 years – long before “ghost hunting” became a cable staple. In her workshop, Roxie will discuss the do’s and don’ts of making spirit contact and exploring haunted spaces.

• Author, witch, and co-founder of The Temple of Witchcraft, Adam Sartwell (a certified hypnotist) explores the meaning of nightmares and reveals how they – and related dreamwork – can enhance your spiritual practice and help you claim power and wisdom.

• Cunning man, witch, and sorceror, Jeff Coté, will show you how to manifest magic when you need it – no matter when, or where you are. With practice and by following a set of basic principles, you can lay the groundwork for performing magical workings on the fly.

• Author, witch, medium, and popular YouTuber, Sancista Brujo Luis will explore the rich history and varied magical uses of Spirit Waters (also known as colognes) such as Florida Water and Kananga Water. A staple in Latin magical and shamanic work for hundreds of years, these scented waters are enjoying greater popularity within the magical community at large. Luis will also show how you can make your own Spirit Water.

* Lightworker, clairvoyant, and angel worker, Val Duda will show you how to empower your life path and magical practice through Numerology. In this introductory class, you’ll discover how this powerful, ancient divinatory system may be used on its own or used to enhance other practices – such as tarot or astrology.

Entertainment includes live performances by by recording artists, Jenna Greene and her band and award-winning, native-style flutist, Michael Longrider.

In addition, intuitive readers – among the finest in the region – will be on-hand for one-on-one personal readings. Discover what the future holds! Choose from a variety of gifted tarot readers, oracle readers, psychic mediums, or specialty divination system readers – including some of the event’s presenters.

Concluding the day will be an open Samhain ritual honoring those who have gone on before, led by High Priestess, Irena Stormcrow and High Priest, Valentine Stormcrow of Marlborough, NH.

Celebrate Samhain will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Nashua, located at 2 Somerset Pkwy, Nashua, New Hampshire from 10am-6pm. Admission for the day’s events is $10 with donation of a non-perishable food item or $12 without. Children under 12 (accompanied by an adult) are free. Donations will be made to the Nashua Soup Kitchen & Shelter.
