Divine Wisdom From Michele Livingston
by Michele Livingston
Dear Michele,
I am a certified acupuncturist, Reiki Master and also do soul clearings for people (removing past life trauma). When I do a healing session I many times receive messages from departed loved ones and from the client’s spirit guides. It can be intrusive and I sometimes feel drained after a session. How can I control the energies, and do you know of an exercise that I can use to protect myself?
Thanks for your divine wisdom, Roxanne
Dear Roxanne,
I assume you know that you are an empath – a person who can imbibe other’s energy patterns. All healing practitioners need to protect themselves, whether they work on the emotional, physical or spiritual levels. Departed souls and spirit guides in the higher dimensions are at a faster frequency than we are in our third dimensional world. Therefore, I’ve formulated a wonderful technique to enable you to open up to the spirit realms while you heal others, and not feel drained in the process. This will also help you to shut down after a session to avoid further intrusion from the spirit realms.
Before you start your work, have your client close their eyes. Then close your eyes and both of you take 12 slow deep breaths. Tell your client to visualize a blank wall while breathing, which will help facilitate the clearing of their energy. You, in turn, visualize your own crown chakra (at the top of your head) and see a large golden screw embedded there. Slowly remove the screw and see bright white light pouring into your crown chakra. Do the same visualization (with golden screws and white light) at your third eye region (located about an inch above your eyebrows in the middle of your forehead), your throat chakra, heart chakra, solar plexus, palms of your hands and soles of your feet. This exercise, if done efficiently, can be completed by the end of 12 deep breaths. You now are open and protected during your healing work, while your client is relaxing.
At the end of the session make sure your client closes their eyes and rests, while you visualize the protective golden screws returning to each energy portal and chakra point. You are now closed down, yet energized and should not feel drained.
Roxanne, try this exercise a couple of times and let it become part of your routine. You will find that this helps you feel more relaxed, while at the same time creating new protective boundaries for yourself!
Dear Michele,
I’ve seen you on TV, have read your books and have met you once at a seminar. Therefore I feel confident to share a dream I had that was very confusing to me. Growing up, my father was very abusive, both verbally and physically. I ran away from home at age 18 to join the Army and get away from him. We lost contact for many years, but my mother got in touch two years ago to say my father had passed away. I felt nothing. Then about a month later my dad appeared to me in a dream. He said he was sorry for all the mean things he did to me as a child, because he didn’t know any better. When I got awake it seemed like the bitterness I had harbored all those years was gone. Why would he come to me and was he really sorry?
Thanks,
David
Hi David,
When we pass on, our soul trans-itions to the higher frequency of the fourth dimension. After we adjust to the higher energy there, we are taken by our guides to a way station (a holographic type area) where we objectively relive the life we have just left behind. This process is called the life review. Since there is no time on the other side we can literally relive our past life in a few seconds or minutes. We examine our life from the time we are born until the final breath we take. In this review we feel intense emotions. We observe the loving, thoughtful, encouraging things we did for others – and we feel their joy and happiness produced by our actions. We also experience the abusive, unkind and hurtful actions we have inflicted on others – and in an instant, we feel their emotional shock or devastation. This process does several things – it makes us aware of compassion for one’s fellow man and puts the "shoe on the other foot," so to speak. It also makes us aware that every action, word and thought we initiate affects humanity. At the end of this review the Creator will ask, "What do you have to show me for your life (have you fulfilled your soul’s purpose)? And how have you loved?" Since the Creator is pure unconditional love, we are to manifest this love (our birthright) in all that we do.
So, your father felt your emotional trauma and pain in his life review. He was sorry, felt compassion and spiritually understood what he did to you. He also forgave himself, because he realized that he had been hurt as a child and that hurt created abusive actions on his part. But his loving presence in your dream, after so many years, should "awaken" you to the fact that all humanity is one and forgiveness is key. You should feel honored he made an effort to apologize. So in your daily dealings with people, think about their welfare, their feelings and aspire in a kind way to make the world a better place to inhabit.
