Dear Michelle,

The first thing Tonka told me was that she was with you on Christmas. It’s important to her that you know this. Tonka loves you very much and is aware of your love for her, as are all of our animals on the other side. She is around you a lot, so if you talk to her it’s likely she’ll hear you.

Tonka has a maternal attitude toward you, and said that in some ways she was more like a mother to you than vice versa. She repeatedly asked me to tell you that she is still with you, and will always be there when you need her. She is very connected to your energy, and comes to you if she senses that you are sad or upset. Tonka always wants to make things better for you, and is sorry that her passing caused you pain.

Tonka said that her cancer began with a small spot on her liver and then spread. It eventually affected her blood and compromised her immune system. She kept showing me an image of a kitchen associated with that time, and the energy around this felt heavy and sad. Tonka was glad to leave her body and feels you helped her cross over at precisely the right time.

I asked Tonka if she had any advice for you, and she said that you aren’t living up to your full potential, aren’t allowing yourself to fully blossom. Tonka wants you to find a way to follow your passions, even if this seems impossible. She mentioned that you would like to travel more but feel that you can’t, and she wants to encourage you to explore the world. She said that you’re beautiful and shouldn’t be afraid to shine your light. Tonka wants you to know that you’re stronger than you think, and it’s your self-doubts that limit you.

Her advice to you as a dog parent is to be gentle, patient, clear, and consistent. She must like your current dog, because she encouraged you to do things you know he enjoys, and make sure you give him lots of treats!

I asked Tonka if she had any other messages for you, and she said she is concerned about your sleep. You either have insomnia or stay up too late, and she wants you to work on this. She also said she would like to reincarnate and return to you in about eighteen months to two years. Please don’t worry about this; if it’s meant to be you’ll find one another. Tonka loves you very much, and whether here or in Spirit she is always with you.
