Divine Wisdom From Michele Livingston
by Michele Livingston
Hi Michele,
I do gain knowledge from your divine wisdom and I know you can answer this for me. I now understand that we all go through a "life review" and we have to basically stand in judgment of how we have treated people while we are here. So... does this mean how we treat people emotionally as well as physically? I have made a decision to "settle" with my old job knowing how I was treated by them. I’ve come to the conclusion it is not for me to judge them, that one day they will experience the emotional pain that they have put me and my family through. Am I right in that they will "feel" the emotional pain they put me through for a year and a half?
Thank you,
Renee B.
Hi Renee,
First, when the soul crosses to the other side, we are not judged by an angry God sitting on a throne, but are made aware of our own past thoughts, actions and deeds. We can never run away from ourselves, and as it says in the Bible, "We must face ourselves in a mirror dimly lit." This evaluation of self takes place during a "life review." Most of us are yearning to learn more about what is beyond. Those who have had the near death experience (NDE), and who were considered clinically dead, come back to write and tell about the life review. This review of the life we have just lived can literally be done in a few seconds or minutes, because there is no time element on the other side. This is equivalent to those survivors of the NDE saying that they rapidly saw their life flash before them.
Apparently, on arrival in the fourth dimension, our soul is escorted to a way station, where the past life review occurs. It appears to us as a third dimensional hologram or movie. We relive and experience all of our feelings, thoughts and emotions–from the time we took our first breath to the last. We objectively become aware of the loving, thoughtful, positive and encouraging things we did for others, no matter how grand or simple (like a smile). We become all knowing and feel the other individual’s joy and happiness, realizing how we’ve touched other’s lives. Every action is observed and analyzed in an unbiased way. We also fleetingly experience the abuse, unkind and hurtful emotions we have inflicted on others, even if we were not consciously aware of them while alive. We briefly feel the other person’s pain, emotional shock or devastation. It needs to be noted that we do not feel their physical pain, but the emotional anxiety and devastation they have felt.
I know someone who had a prolonged NDE and went through his life review. He noted that about the age of 10 he was walking down a dirt road and saw a baby goat who had his head stuck in a fence and was trapped. Because this person was a bully as a child, he did not free the captive goat, but he derived a great deal of pleasure from kicking it – almost to the point of death. In his life review, he felt the emotional blow of every kick – the fear, anxiety, shock and the torment that the little creature experienced. It was horrifying to him and he realized it wasn’t fun, it was wrong. The past life review is very crucial for soul growth. It instills compassion for our fellowman as the "shoe is put on the other foot," so to speak. It also makes us aware that even one simple action can have a ripple effect on humanity.
After the information is processed the Creator will ask, "What do you have to show me for your life?" (This has to do with fulfilling your soul purpose.) You will then respond. Then the ultimate question will be asked, and it is quite simple, "How have you loved?" The soul journey is about unconditional love.
By answering these questions we evaluate ourselves and see how and what we have learned in that lifetime. God is a source of pure unconditional love and light, and we are here to try to manifest this love in our every thought and action. This is our birthright because God is within each one of us.
Finally a counsel of souls (usually our spirit guides) meet with us to discuss what virtues we have learned and if we feel we’ve accomplished what our soul came down to the earth plane to do. We then decide how we need to proceed in progress. We can stay in the fourth dimension to learn and grow soul-wise, or we incarnate into a new human body in the third dimension to learn more lessons. For this decision, the life review is insightful and invaluable. Forgiveness enters into this concept as well. We need to forgive ourselves for past mistakes as we forgive others! Thus, right now in your daily dealings with others, think about their welfare, their feelings and aspire in a gentle and kind way to make the world a better place to inhabit.
