Every Child Is Gifted: Harnessing From Jump Street

I just read an article where it says that the New Age movement has yet to produce empirical evidence of the existence of indigo children. This comment baffled me. I thought this was really funny. Wow! How far will the skepticism go? Why is it so hard for people to embrace their true nature?

Maybe it’s because it takes more time? Maybe it’s because we are lazy, or maybe it’s because that is something that we prefer NOT to look at. The fact is that everybody is psychic. We all have abilities that vary from person to person. Imagine how much easier life would have been if they had taught you how to access your "Psychic abilities" when you were a child or a young teen.

Maybe you are a channeller, or perhaps you are empathic and you don’t know it. You pick up on everybody’s energy, you match people’s mood or state of mind without knowing it; meanwhile you grow up believing that you are bipolar or too erratic or some other misconception. All of these hurtful labels could have been avoided by acknowledging and recognizing these rare abilities instead ignoring them all.

When I was growing up I was perceived as Difficult. I was mean, I was intolerant, and I was distracted. Was I? I suppose when mediocre disbelievers surround a gifted child, this child is bound to feel frustrated and annoyed. Wouldn’t you? How do you shut up and do what they tell you to do when you KNOW they are wrong?

But all these frustrations served a purpose. This all helped me better understand what MOST children go through. The dismissive, at times antagonistic, attitudes of others inspired me to create a program to assist young teens to come to terms with their abilities, to discover what they are and to utilize them in everyday life. The response has been quite rewarding. It brings me great joy to be able to provide the safe space to explore that I wish I had had.
