Transform Fear Into Courage, Anger Into Forgiveness, Isolation Into Belonging

Opening a Gratitude Circle
In closing, we thought we would share with you one last way that you can express all of this newfound gratitude, and that is by opening up a “Gratitude Circle.” The idea is simple. A gratitude circle is a place for sharing stories, photos, prayers of gratitude, and videos with friends and loved ones. The more people you can get to align with you, the sooner you will discover the positive power of gratitude and reap the many benefits that come from doing so.
We started our book and launched our Facebook “Living Life as a Thank You” page with just the two of us—two moms who lived across the country—Nina Lesowitz in the San Francisco Bay Area and Mary Beth Sammons in the Chicago suburbs, in telephone calls and e-mails sharing our gratefulness for the blessings that were pouring into our lives.
We started talking about how even in the most challenging of times—raising teens and facing financial uncertainty in the publishing profession where times have been tough—that even through this adversity, if we started our day with an attitude of gratitude, we could focus on what is possible in life and good things would come our way. Pretty soon, we had an entire community of friends, colleagues, and new people who found us through our book and on Facebook.
Now, we want to spread that gift and help you become cheerleaders for others who have tapped into the power of thankfulness by forming your own Gratitude Circle.
By creating a Gratitude Circle, you can join us in being grateful. Connect with others in this special group that’s dedicated to honoring the simple phrases “Thank you” and “I am grateful for….” We know firsthand that once you start a thankfulness circle, it won’t take long for others to join in, and the power of gratefulness will permeate and bless your everyday being.
There are several ways you can take part in a Gratitude Circle. You can set your intention to join a circle on our Facebook page, “Living Life as a Thank You,” and immediately become part of our online community. Or you can create your own Gratitude Circle. We make it easy for you with our tips for starting a circle.
