2012 World Forecast
by Reverend Jeff Pica
In Astrology, the planets have “themes” about them, and represent images, ideas, characteristics, and ideologies.
In 2011, the mystical planet Neptune, representing enlightenment, entered the sign of Pisces, a momentous celestial occasion actually - as one of the current markers of the beginning stages of planetary spiritual growth. The sign Pisces is “ruled by” (astrologically “under the command of”) Neptune, and contains the same inspirations as Neptune. Vibrationally, the Earth, the world’s consciousness, is in its adolescence, but ready to make an unprecedented leap in evolution. By-the-way, saying “Neptune is in Pisces” simply means that the planet Neptune in our heavens now, has entered a section of the sky astrologers call “Pisces.”
The planet Uranus rebels against the old, making way for new progress, and symbolizes social awareness, altruism, and humanity, is now fully in the sign of Aries, the pure force of initiation. Additionally in 2011, the planet Jupiter, highlighting themes of freedom, metaphysics, religion, and spirituality, has entered Aries - again, fresh, pure potential consciousness.
In 2011, the mathematical distances between the planets Uranus, Jupiter, and Saturn, configured (called an “aspect”) in a clashing way, bringing about the testing between humanity (Uranus) and society at large (Saturn), with a new calling and potentiality (Aries) for increased social awareness (Uranus), that includes freedom, responsibility, and spirituality (Jupiter.)
Pluto, the planet that has the unending ability to transform, is in the sign of Capricorn, ruled by the planet Saturn and represents society and authority. A contentious aspect of resistance between Uranus and Pluto, representing a global and societal transformation toward a new level of awareness and understanding, began to simmer in 2011 and will come to full boil in 2012, and in fact continue to be on boil/simmer for the rest of this decade.
All in all, for 2011, I saw that "there would be extreme, powerful drives to understand how we truly relate to one another, changing the very core of our world society. There would be challenges to how we can collectively raise our awareness level of social issues, along with being free and responsible world citizens. The initiating period toward this understanding may be a demanding one." In 2011, we saw the beginnings of powerful uprisings sweeping the Middle East for democratic reform, and the radical movement "Occupy Wall Street" became global.
In 2012, as in 2011, the planets Pluto and Uranus will continue to be in a stressful relationship to each other, therefore, our nation and our world will remain on this challenging path in 2012. We will continue to see sweeping changes to the center of our world society (Pluto in Capricorn) as we progress collectively, and again, even demanding, radical change, as we are raising our global awareness level (Uranus in Aries.)
In 2012, we symbolically welcome the "Age of Aquarius," astronomically and astrologically. Astronomers know that our entire Solar System has completed one full orbit of our Milky Way Galaxy, taking roughly 26,000 years to do. The "section" in our heavens where our Solar System now embarks on its next 26,000 years, Astrologers call the "Age of Aquarius." The first day our Solar System begins the next 26,000 year period? December 21, 2012. New energies and ascended vibrations have been and will continue to come to Earth, helping mankind to reach the realization that there is only the illusion of our separation from the Divine. Humanity is being guided to this one essential truth at this very significant time: the experience of being connected to an internalized Source, and to know once again our divine nature. (Full explanation of "Age of Aquarius" at web page "The Meaning of December 21, 2012.")
All of the above is the "big picture" view of 2012. A more detailed view begins mid-February 2012 with the planet Venus, representing relationships and money making a close sweep by Uranus and then a challenging square aspect with Pluto, I feel setting some new monetary policy changes; first met with resistance as Venus makes an opposing aspect with Saturn, then perhaps issues settle as Venus soon makes a close aspect with Jupiter and an easy aspect with Pluto.
Towards the end of June 2012, the Sun in early Cancer will create a very stressful condition to the already strained relationship between Pluto and Uranus, called a T-Square, highlighting disputes and protests. Further, in mid-July, transiting Mars then creates a T-Square to the same stressful relationship between Pluto and Uranus, unfortunately adding aggression and fuel to the fire.
In mid-August, transiting Venus creates a T-Square with Pluto and Uranus, creating impulsive power conflicts pertaining to money. With Mars passing by Saturn, the conflicts will cause irritations and frustrations. Whatever the issue surrounding money is at this time, it comes under re-evaluation or is seen as simply not working, as Venus comes into a square aspect with Saturn in early September.
In November 2012, Venus comes into another T-Square with Pluto and Uranus, with another opportunity of impulsive power conflicts with money as transiting Mars comes close to Pluto and squares Uranus in late November, adding violent, even destructive energy to the mix, as there is in July, 2012.
Finally, good news for the latter part of 2012 with the easy aspect between Saturn and Neptune, symbolizing the potential to bring about a period of balance between society (Saturn) and a peaceful co-existence. (Neptune in Pisces, the Age of Aquarius)
