Ask The Astrology Guy
by Rev. Jeff Pica
Hi Astrology Guy,
I’ve decided to leave my second husband and move back into the apartment I used to live in. We’d need a lot of help to make our marriage work, and he isn’t willing or able to make any of the necessary changes. So, I’m back to being on my own again. I had been extremely upset for the last several months, and pretty angry at the whole situation. I don’t understand why he’d rather hold onto his drinking or “chat room” stuff than fight for his marriage. If I live to be a 100, I guess I’ll never figure out the answers.
I was hoping you might take a look at my astrological forecast for me and let me know what’s ahead for me, as best as you can. I already know that reconciliation is not a possibility at this point.
My date of birth is February 20, 1959 at 12:20 am in the da Bronx.
Thank you so much,
Linda
Wow, what a sweetie-pie you are Linda! In my opinion, there’s no sign sweeter than Pisces, and your Natal Chart has three placements in Pisces; your Sun, Mercury, and Venus. Additionally, your Sun and Mercury make an easy trine aspect to Neptune, the natural ruler of Pisces, enabling you an even greater capacity for caring and kindness.
Your Ascendant is in Scorpio and makes an easy trine aspect to your Venus in Pisces, and both make a trine aspect to your Moon in Cancer, called a Grand Trine. In your chart, called a Water Grand Trine since Scorpio, Pisces, and Cancer are the Water signs of the Zodiac, which all add to your sweetness.
Your chart has an aspect called a T-Square. The planet Uranus makes a challenging square aspect to your Ascendant/Descendant axis, forming a large T formation across your chart. Uranus is a rebel and doesn’t like just sitting still. The Ascendant represents your body and self image, the Descendant symbolizes close relationships, such as marriage. A square aspect from Uranus to both the Ascendant and Descendant tells us that your marriage(s) this lifetime might not be as steady as you would prefer, and Uranus may give you some extra nervous energy and quirkiness, even fluctuating weight loss and gain.
Your chart has a relatively rare aspect called a Grand Cross. This configuration begins with two opposition aspects within a chart. You have your Sun and Mercury in an opposition aspect to the planet Pluto, from your Fourth House of Family to the Tenth House of Career. This opposition represents powerful, compulsive, and willful forces at work in your life - within you, from your employers, even from your parents. Your chart also has Jupiter in an opposition aspect with the planet Mars, from your First House of Self to your Seventh House of Partnerships. This opposition creates fluctuations of energy, excess, strong physical desire within a marriage and again, another indication of fluctuating weight gain and loss.
The complication of a Grand Cross is that the two oppositions involved simply don’t get along; each opposition brings out the worst side of the other. So, instead of just powerful forces at work within you, your employers, and your parents, there are equally significant forces at work within your marriage(s.) You may be involved with those with a strong infatuation with power who may try to gain influence over other people, with a great intensity. The fluctuations of energy in your life now become more severe and passionate, where physical desire within a marriage can turn to violence and weight gain and loss can become drastic weight gain and loss.
Natal Chart positions, all of which I’ve been describing so far, do not change in a lifetime. They are the dynamics one is born with and must work with within a lifetime. Your chart shows ways to find relief from the stress of your Grand Cross. The planets involved in your Grand Cross make a favorable aspect to the planet Saturn in your Second House, telling us that putting in hard work and responsibility towards making money will redirect your mind and focus; to Venus in the Fourth House, by carving out a beautiful home for yourself to feel safe in; to your Moon in the Eighth House, (close to your Ninth House) where exchanging deep emotions, Philosophy, and Metaphysics will broaden your awareness; and ultimately a favorable aspect to your Neptune in the Twelfth House, showing that relying on a higher source and expressing and growing in spirituality is the best relief of all for you in this lifetime.
One more note about your Natal Chart. You have another somewhat rare aspect called a Yod, or the “Finger of God” aspect. In such an aspect, a planet becomes the apex of a configuration of two other aspecting planets, creating a large Y formation across a chart. People who have a Yod are divinely guided and are here to help and guide others. Your Yod has an apex Mars, located in the Seventh House of Marriage. An apex Mars shows you must make adjustments in the ways in which you assert yourself, especially within a marriage. As you age, you will find yourself in charge of your life, being completely self-sufficient. Because of the stress involved on the apex planet, the lessons of your Yod are difficult for you to learn yourself. Therefore, in effect, your own growth surrounding the ways you assert yourself is the guidance you give to others. You may not even be consciously aware of this guidance - it may be as subtle as your own particular viewpoint on the advice you give others.
Troubles in the marriage department of your life may not necessarily just be situational, but your T-Square and Grand Cross at work. What your chart is asking you to do is to try to achieve balance in your life as you strive to become more self-sufficient and assertive, especially within your marriage(s.) As this happens, the energy you exude will draw in someone better suited for you than your partners in the past.
I’m not surprised that you are ending a relationship at this time. In early 2012, transiting Neptune ended a long time square aspect to your progressed Venus. Neptune acting on Venus will make relationships confusing and unclear. When the fog lifts (when the transit is over) you begin to see things more clearly. What was once dreamy can now be seen as the illusion it really was.
Jupiter will be transiting your progressed Sixth House of Work and Daily Affairs in 2012. Look for an increased pace of life, with opportunities for growth and expansion of all kinds. At work, you might get a job title promotion, or increased responsibility that shines well on you.
This year, transiting Uranus will be making a challenging square aspect to your progressed Mars and progressed Ascendant. This aspect brings many ups and downs to your energy reserves and within your marriage. If things aren’t working out at home then this can certainly be interpreted as a divorce aspect.
Transiting Saturn will be passing through your progressed Tenth House of Career, in 2012. This is a very important period in your life. A career pinnacle and career recognition is possible now, however, any acknowledgement comes from earned effort and not simply good luck.
Jupiter will be transiting through your Seventh House of Marriage this late Spring. This is a time of increased social contacts and opportunities through them. Traditionally, this is also a time when conditions within a marriage improve since Jupiter only brings the growth and expansion one is ready for. However, under some conditions, the growth one needs actually comes from the break-up of a stifling marriage. Transiting Jupiter will also be passing over your progressed Venus in 2012, most likely affecting your marriage the same way, by freeing you to help facilitate your own growth.
Transiting Jupiter will also be aspecting your Sun, Mercury, Mars, and natal and progressed Jupiter this year ... all indications of the freedom and development you are primed for, and traditionally, a marked period of positivity, even levity. However, expect mood ups and downs as transiting Uranus makes a square aspect to your progressed Saturn and transiting Pluto passes over your progressed Saturn. You’ll see the end to some of the more rooted aspects of your life, and you may not be too happy to let them go. Transiting Saturn will be making an aspect to your Sun, often a transit bringing weariness and loss. In retrospect, you will see that whatever leaves your life this year was not a true reflection of who you are, now. Your progressed Moon will be aspecting your progressed Mars and progressed Saturn, a sign of anger and depression.
You’ll see a respite this Summer, as transiting Jupiter makes an aspect to your Mid-Heaven, lightening the mood once again.
The only thing that may not go according to plan is your actual move. With transiting Pluto aspecting your progressed Moon and transiting Uranus moving into your progressed Fourth House of Home, I don’t see a change of residence until this Fall.
For many years to come, transiting Neptune will be passing over your Sun, helping to bring out the already empathetic, creative, and spiritual side of your Pisces Sun.
I hoped this has helped.
