Put Reflexology's Healing Benefits To Work
by Laura Norman
"The only work that will ultimately bring any good to any of us is the work of contributing to the healing of the world."
- Marianne Williamson
One of the greatest blessings of my life began when I was drawn to Reflexology in college. My passion for reflexology grew into a career that spans five amazing decades of hands-on healing sessions, writing books, creating DVDs and aromatherapy products, and teaching my holistic approach to Reflexology to thousands of students from around the world in New York, Florida and right here in the beautiful Berkshires!
The deep satisfaction I get from contributing to a client’s profound relaxation and healing goes beyond mere words. And, through my Laura Norman Holistic Reflexology Training Programs, future generations will continue to benefit from this natural, ancient healing art and science.
One little-known secret my students discover is that, as they practice holistic reflexology on others, they also begin to heal themselves. There is a magical gift of peace, connectedness and wholeness for those who dedicate themselves to the healing of others.
"What a gift! After practicing massage for almost twenty years, I got certified in Laura Norman Reflexology. It’s so much easier on my body I can handle more clients in a day. And, giving reflexology sessions is healing for me as well." - Jim Davis, LMT
If the eyes are "the window to the soul," then the feet, hands, face and ears are "the mirrors of the body." Reflexology is an ancient healing technique rediscovered almost one hundred years ago. It consists of applying firm, gentle pressure to reflex points on the feet, hands, face and ears that reflect each organ, gland and part of the body. Reflexology has a myriad of health benefits, including reduced stress, improved circulation, cleansing of toxins, strengthening the immune system and increased focus. Want to know another "secret" underlying Reflexology’s health benefits? Reflex-ology restores the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
"Since I added reflexology to my patients’ treatment regimens I’ve seen significant improvement in their therapeutic results." - Michelle Colletti, Occupational Therapist
There is substantial evidence supporting Reflexology’s effectiveness. Many research and case studies have documented the efficacy of Reflexology in the treatment of a broad range of health conditions, both on its own and in combination with medical treatment. And many well-respected medical doctors and surgeons report how valuable Reflexology is for treating their patients in conjunction with traditional medicine.
While my students are motivated to learn Reflexology to help others, there are also many practical benefits from this career choice. Flexible hours, increased earning potential, choice of working in a variety of settings, like spas, salons, wellness centers, doctors’ offices and corporations, and joining a community of like-minded associates are all reasons why becoming a holistic reflexologist is so sought after.
"Healing is a matter of time, but it is sometimes also a matter of opportunity." - Hippocrates
