Astrological Forecast for December 2007

Last month’s forecast called for an emotional roller coaster ride, and that appears to be accurate based upon client feedback. The new age spin on the emotional highs and lows was that aggressive Mars in its retrograde cycle from November 15 until January 30^th is helping you to revise your actions and priorities. The purpose of this ambitious realignment is to help you bring more nurturing and healthy emotional expression into your life.

Although this phase continues, and can bring up old family issues during already sensitive holiday times, there is positive light at the end of the tunnel. Major uplifting energetic shifts coming just before winter solstice on the 21^st help you shift into a new direction.

Before looking at the incoming pragmatic energy, it’s time for a party! On December 1^st, communications planet Mercury enters the jovial sign of Sagittarius. Enjoy social activities until the 18-21^st when the aforementioned energy shift changes your life focus towards more practical concerns.

The week of the 2^nd supports mixing business and pleasure; the company party comes to mind. The 6^th and 7^th bring minor mental irritations and changes in plans. Think before you speak so that a critique doesn’t come off sounding like criticism. Saturday the 8^th is the party day this weekend.

The Sagittarius New Moon on Sunday the 9^th begins an insightful week. Sagittarius is the philosopher and adventurer that catalyzes you to take a risk on manifesting your visionary dreams in the mundane world. The stars Hamal in the Aries constellation and Rigel in Orion help you initiate projects during the next two weeks.

Hamal is the star that represents action and independence. Madame Blavatsky, the co-founder of the Theosophical Society, used Hamal’s placement in her birth chart to lead an independent new path for modern metaphysics. Rigel, in the toe of Orion, is an educator. Stars in the feet of constellations represent bringing cosmic information into the earth plane. Time invested in bringing forth new ideas are supported for the next month.

The new moon energy builds to Tuesday the 11^th when Jupiter and Pluto align. This dynamic alignment occurs only every 13 years. On some esoteric level, you are completing a ‘transforming your philosophy’ cycle that started in December 1994 and beginning a cycle that will be with you until 2020. The point of all this is to let you know that something larger is going on in your life and you would be well advised to take a moment this week to meditate on an expanded picture of your life for the next 13 years.

To return to current events, the 13^th and 14^th supports outgoing efforts to meet new people and spend time with casual friendships. Participate in close and personal friendships and romance on the 15^th and 16^th.

December 18-21 presents a whirlwind of change and holds the potential to affect your entire outlook on life over the months ahead. It begins on the 18^th when ‘do it big’ Jupiter enters down-to-earth Capricorn for the coming year. Expansive ideas can be brought into the mainstream world now.

On the 19^th, spiritual destiny points called the nodes of the moon move into Aquarius and Leo through July 2009. The incoming lesson is to work for the good of humanity while having fun, keeping your heart open, and taking care of personal needs in balance with worldly service. Also on Wednesday, restrictive Saturn appears to stop in the sky to help you restructure your life to better serve this new paradigm, lasting until May 2008.

It is unlikely that these shifts will immediately rock your world, but they are present in a 3-month chart cast for Winter Solstice on the 21^st. The incoming lesson is an ongoing theme where you must balance your worldly efforts with personal nurturing needs. A power places map for solstice shows that the USA Central Time Zone, Nepal and Calcutta, and the South Pacific are highly activated under this influence. It is common to see earth and political changes under such an influence.

The weekend prior to the Christmas holiday holds playful, nurturing, and busy planetary transits. Overeating and excessive busyness are traits that are amplified at this time. The holiday itself is quietly active.

December 26^th is a difficult day to be out on the roads when Mars opposes Jupiter. Everyone is going to fast and impatience is a likely behavior. Allow extra time in traffic or at shopping centers.

Moon in social Libra and Mars moving into talkative Gemini on New Year’s Eve helps even the most reclusive people to come out of their cave. Neptune is also active which is good for spiritual activities, but mildly difficult for abuse of alcohol. Have fun but be smart. Happy New Year!
