Excerpt from "Seeding and Nurturing the Garden of Your Soul: Walking the Middle Road"

The pathway one must travel to ascend into the higher levels and vibrations of existence is one of test, trials, overcoming, and releasing. As one approaches a frequency or dimension change, he will at last be given three great tests; the test of power, the test of self-righteousness, and the test of wealth. They may not come in just that order, but they will come. Somewhere along that upward climb these tests will be met by every man who remains on the middle road to Light, and walks far enough. Some may be born with wealth instead of receiving that as the last test. However, the tests will be there, somewhere along the journey into Light. One may completely pass it, as the Masters did, or may become completely immersed in it, as the rich young man.

The test of Power comes when one is granted the feeling and knowledge of the power vested in him, accepts the position, and then gives the power and glory unto himself. He may be given the power of healing the sick with his hands, and feel that glorious surge of God’s healing power flowing through him and out through his palms and finger tips. He then takes the credit to himself and in his pride claims it to be his own power.

He may be given a great talent, and ends up destroying it by his own misuse and vanity with the gift. He may be given the power of speech, and use it, not under the direction of God, but to bring in his own beliefs and learning, or to take over the minds of men. A thousand ways can be used to test one’s ability and worthiness to handle power. If you cannot pass this test your power will be stopped, at least for now, because you have found your level for the time being. No man will be able to go farther than the strength and vision of his Soul permits. He sets his own gauge and then prepares himself.

When you humbly give God the credit and gratitude for any and all power within you, and do not misuse it, then greater power will come. Angels will come and support your efforts and knowledge will flow through you to help uplift mankind as you minister to their needs.

This is why the book, The Secret, was so dangerous. It did not address these truths, and instead gives the power to the person, not the energy flowing through them, nor the root cause of that energy. Nor did it mention the karma involved.

The test of self-righteousness will also come to every individual who seeks to fulfill the laws of righteousness. There will come a moment in his life when he will desire to show and bring forth the power of his goodness, a moment in which he will desire all to behold his high place more than he will desire to stand in this place for the glory of God. Only great Love and perfect humility can carry one above the point of feeling that he, in some way, is a little superior to his fellow travelers on the path. In all my years of travel and service, I have met only one such person; Marc Tremblay, from Quebec Canada, a truly great healer.

Having reached a point above others in his upward climb he will want the world to give him credit for his achievements and goodness, and will be filled with a false belief that he has a special claim, or monopoly on the Divine favors and attention of God. He may glory in the exhausted heights of his lofty position as a world leader, his high seat in political office, his position in the congregation, his place upon the temple pinnacle, and that he has the power to make this the envy of every person beneath him in their upward climb. Thus he will misuse his calling and position to awe the minds of men, that they might revere and adore him instead of God. Anyone who use their power and position to hold the minds of men, to keep them from going to God in their upward climb to the Light have failed; and they will fail as the humble seekers for Light holding the true knowledge of God silently pass them by, without their knowledge. For they have lost this knowledge and God vision because they are blinded with the vision of their own greatness.

The other test, the test of fame, learning, wealth or worldly possession will be within the power of every man who ascends unto the heights—and he will have to choose them as rich young man did who came to Jesus in the middle of the night.Whether it is the kingdom of this world he chooses, or the greater kingdom that is not of this world—the kingdom of heaven, in which all wealth and power will be given, the choice must be made. Few have ever passed this test.

Another example is the man who climbed the Himalayas to the cave of Mahavitar Babaci and begged to be allowed to join the group as a chela. This story can be found in the book, The Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda; Another perfect example of surrender.

"Man"in the original language means "steward." Every person who possesses anything on this earth is not the true owner, he is only the steward. Any man who basks in his bank account, his great storehouse of wealth, while his brother goes hungry or is without, especially a direct family member, will be called to give an accounting of his stewardship.

The greatest warning that can be given against these pitfalls is…There are many called, but few are chosen. Why are they not chosen? Because their hearts are set so much upon the things of this world, and they aspire to the honors of men, and have yet to learn this one lesson. Gifts may be conferred upon us, it is true, but when we use them to cover our sins, to gratify our pride, or vain ambition, or worse still, to exercise control and dominion over the souls of children or others, in any degree of unrighteouness, the gifts and glory of them will be withdrawn.

These three specific tests that are given to each in his upward climb may be scattered anywhere throughout the lifetime. He may either be born into wealth,or he may be given it later because of his righteous endeavors; he may be immersed with it, or pass it on to higher and loftier attainments according to his desire and vision.

The test of wealth may only be an opportunity to gain it at the sacrifice on one’s better instincts. It may be offered at the sacrifice of one’s integrity or it may be offered at the price of one’s Soul. This test of wealth does not necessarily mean that everyone who climbs up the pathway of Light into the higher realms will have wealth bestowed upon him. He may choose to completely pass it by, but the opportunity to receive wealth will be given, and the wealth itself may be placed into his hands so that he may decide to be detained by the feel of it at his fingertips.

These tests are often called the Test of the Angels, through which man must pass before he can come into a new frequency and higher vibration level than the original Soul was born into. It is not the symbols that are so important as much as man’s progress and how well he lives through the laws of righteouness to which they belong. Will he walk this path, abide by the Laws, and be willing to give up all he possesses, give his time, his talents, worldly possessions, even his very life if necessary? Will he seek peace on earth and manifest this in his life from the utter devotion for it? Is he willing to overcome all personal lusts, unvirtuous desires of the flesh so that his body, his temple, can be purified to do the work? For the Soul and the Soul’s growth demand right use of Divine Laws and perfection within his own life. He must cease speaking evil, giving judgment, condemning any race or creed, as his heart opens and learns to become the powerful force of Love with his thoughts, actions, and behind his lips.

These tests are truly Angels in disguise who come in to try the Souls of men. They are stationed along the energies determined in the astrological chart before birth. At the time of celestial stress for the Soul, these tests will come along. The Light forces will test him to the very fibers of his Soul, his Love,his desire for self-realization, for these are the eternal realities behind the symbols and experiences, and by these you will be judged after death, at the end of this lifetime.

Tests were never meant to be a burden or a detriment to any man any more than tests in school were meant to retard the progress of a student. These tests must be given for they are the gauges through which progress is made. It is said that every Soul chooses a lifetime on earth, and there is a celestial line up to be reincarnated again. For this is the only way a Soul can advance. In My house are many mansions, and these mansions are the Soul Schools, contained in pod groups that vibrate at certain levels.

In order to advance to a higher level a Soul must live through another lifetime,work to attain the highest level capable, and when going through Life Review, it will be determined if the Soul was successful in raising the vibration. If so, they either become a teacher in their Pod Annex, or they are moved up to another pod level. If they are moved up, they take every Soul on their ancestral time line a notch upward with them, every one.

For those Souls who are satisfied to live a good life and do not desire much, not too much will be required of them. But for those who hunger and thirst after purification and Divine knowledge, the inner quest for Truth must continue. For these Souls, the Soul lessons become increasingly advanced and the tests are greater.Those Souls who will never be satisfied with anything except All Truth, must be able to pass all tests—and they must be tested and tried in all things. If their understanding is deep, their hearts pure, their minds steady and serene, they may not always be aware of the tests.

Tests are an opportunity for Souls to advance, not a stumbling block. To such people, every experience is like beautiful music, not a harsh command to resent and rebel against. Every heartbreak, every disease, every setback, every trying circumstance, every temptation conquered, every addiction or weakness left behind is an opportunity to be blessed and understood. Every Law complied with brings a blessing of added strength. Every breath of God that you bring into the body becomes one with the Oneness, through every fiber in the body.
