Ask Your Pet
by Jennifer Dickman
Dear Jennifer,
Kaley is my 6 month old adopted puppy. Initially she had bladder infections, and I thought that was why she was taking a long time to potty train. But, she is still having accidents, both pee and poop. She recently started tearing up furniture. Would you please ask her why she does these things?
Thanks,
Geraldine
Dear Geraldine,
Kaley told me you have a lot of visitors in your home. She is very sensitive to energy, and some of their energies feel unbalanced and are disturbing to her. This is causing something that feels similar to anxiety, but is not quite that. I think the words I’d use to describe what I’m feeling from Kaley are disquieted and uncomfortable. It’s like she just doesn’t know how to handle these energies, and is beginning to show destructive behaviors as a release. I don’t think this is the reason for the accidents, but it’s behind the damage to the furniture.
There are things you can do to help with this. When visitors come over, visualize your entire home filled with white light, and imagine Kaley surrounded in a protective bubble of this light. If you visit www.GreenHopeEssences.com, you’ll find several flower essence formulas that should help. The “Anxiety” formula should assist with the outward behavior. There is also a formula that’s great for everyone called “Golden Armour”. It helps protect against negative energies of all sorts. I also feel that their “Babies of Light” formula would be helpful for Kaley.
As for the accidents, I’m sensing a few causes. First, her early bladder issues caused Kaley to have accidents. This led to a belief, perhaps not fully conscious, that even though it’s not really okay, going potty inside is at least a possibility. Second, it feels like she’s having what we’d call oppositional defiance in a child. It’s like she knows you want her to go outside, and most of the time she’s fine with that, but there’s just a little part of her that wants to assert her independence in this misguided way. It is almost as if it’s become a game to Kaley. It’s not so much that she’s intentionally being “bad”, but she’s thinking about it wrong. Third, Kaley says a part of you now doesn’t believe she will be completely potty trained, and until you believe it, it won’t happen.
I think “Babies of Light” will help Kaley immensely with the potty training. I’m also sensing that “Agnes Rose”, which reminds us of our Oneness with Divinity, will assist Kaley. On a more practical level, “Spraying” can help with issues of improper elimination.
Kaley is a unique, sensitive soul. I believe that with patience, guidance, and support you’ll find that these behaviors will improve.
Many Blessings,
