Hi Astrology Guy ,
In my progressed chart, this year my progressed Mars will be 1 degree away from conjunction to my natal Sun in the Third House. Next year it will be exact. Also at the same time my progressed Sun is 1 degree away from conjunction to my natal Jupiter in the Fifth House and will be exact next year. Can you please tell me what type of events will happen in my life with the progressions to the natal planets?

Hi Teresa,
A progression, to those who are unfamiliar, is where your natal positions (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus ... ) have advanced or "progressed" to since the year you were born.
Your progressed Mars coming close to (conjunting) the position your natal Sun was when you were born simply means you will act with more "Martian" energy. Mars rules the drive, the physical force, bravery, etc... You can expect yourself to be acting with more force than before, asserting yourself to get what you want.
Your progressed Mars is transiting your progressed Second House, and I see your natal Sun is in the Third House. Progressed Mars in your Second House means you will put your Martian energy into making money and acquiring possessions. Progressed Mars transiting your natal Third House would mean putting effort into your communications with others, especially with any siblings and/or neighbors. You'll feel this most potently next year when the conjunction is exact.
Your progressed Sun coming conjunct to your natal Jupiter in the Fifth House is going to be a wonderful time for you. Expect abundance coming into your life in all forms, especially physically, feeling more robust than usual. That, coupled with the Mars progression above, is going to be giving you quite a rush of energy and activity next year. Your creativity is heightened as well.
Also next year for you, transiting Jupiter will oppose your progressed Venus. The Fifth House rules love affairs. With your Fifth House activated by your progressed Sun and your progressed Venus activated by transiting Jupiter, you would be best suited in any social setting. This Fall through to Summer 2017 is a promising time or you for a romantic love relationship.
One other thing. The Fifth House is the house of risk taking. With natal Jupiter there, you must be a lucky person to begin with. With a boost from your progressed Sun, and Jupiter opposing your progressed Venus in the progressed Fourth House, I feel next year could be a fortunate time to take chances. There could definitely be money coming to you, and with good luck around chances, I would play lotteries and such .... It would also be a very beneficial time to buy and/or sell real estate or to make any investment or upgrades to your current home.
You've got quite a ride coming up. I would take advantage and ride that wave with a smile :)
