Law of Attraction: Trauma and Resistance
by Cassendre Xavier
If you have been a student of Law of Attraction and find yourself often dealing with the challenge of resistance to having what you want, know that this resistance may likely be a symptom of your condition.
Trauma often causes avoidance as well as many intense and very real-feeling fears, so it's only natural that having what you want could be very frightening, and therefore cause resistance in your easily allowing it.
How to make progress in this area:
1)Allow yourself to feel whatever you're feeling about this. Crying is good. Just don't worry, be afraid of, or resist the feelings. Do not fear attracting negativity from having your feelings. Relax and trust that all is well.
2)Write about it.
3)Pray and/or meditate about it. Ask what you can do to reduce or remove your resistance to having what you want. Be prepared to act on divine guidance and messages from your inner wise self when you receive them.
4)Discuss with your therapist how trauma may be affecting your ability to create and attract what you want in life.
5)Ask your friends and mental health/trauma/recovery groups and communities if they have any insight into, or experience with the role that trauma has in achieving one's dreams and accomplishing goals.
Remember, you can have, be, and do what your heart truly desires, as long as you take the necessary steps, and have plenty of support of various kinds (including friends, therapy, medication, herbal and nutritional supplements, diet, and a healthy diet, exercise, and sober lifestyle)!
