UFOs Officially Announced by US Government

For the first time ever, the Department of Defense broke its silence on the UFO issue and released three videos of separate incidents in which Navy jets chased UFOs off the east and west coasts of the United States.

The chases of the unidentified flying objects are seen from inside the cockpits of Navy F/A-18F Super Hornets, cameras locked on the wingless objects while pilots discuss what they’re seeing with their own eyes. Two of the short videos were recorded in 2004 from USS Nimitz jets flying off the west coast of the United States, while the third video was recorded in 2015 off the east coast.

“The government’s recent disclosure is red-hot, fresh-off-the-presses information that once and for all verifies what many people have long-suspected: UFOs are in our skies!” exclaimed New York UFO expert Joseph Flammer, an author of books about the unidentified flying object phenomenon and noted field investigator for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON).

Flammer continued, “From these videos – which come complete with pilot discussions and indisputable chain of custody trackability - we now know “officially” that unidentified aerial phenomena are regularly tracked in our skies by the military.”

The author of the 2016 Amazon bestseller UFOs Over America: Scariest Cases (Schiffer: 2016) showed the three videos on a big screen at a well-attended gathering of Main Line MUFON UFO enthusiasts at the Tredyffrin Public Library in Strafford, Pennsylvania, April 10. The jaw-dropping videos are clear and show oblong objects “locked-on” by Raytheon AN/ASQ-228 Advanced Tracking Forward Looking Infrared cameras, the most advanced technology available to the Navy.

“Alarmingly, along with these videos we have learned that at least a dozen military jet chases of UFOs have occurred over the east coast in 2015 alone,” Flammer announced. “The east coast is where we live! What if there was a UFO crash with an airliner? Would our children be safe on the ground below? Are nuclear power facilities safe with these mysterious craft in our skies? If one of them could crash at Roswell in 1947, one could crash here in 2018.”

Flammer went on: “These objects have no familiar signatures such as sound or heat or smoke trails, and no familiar flight surfaces like wings, fins or tails. They are not shaped like airplanes and do not move like them, either. They are shaped like tic tacs and can move at hypersonic speeds of Mach 5 or better. That’s 4,000 miles-per-hour. So, what are they? We need to know for safety reasons alone.”

This historic disclosure of F/A-18s pursuing unidentified flying objects – areal phenomena bearing no conventional likenesses to known aircraft and eluding the fighter jets - occurred on December 16, 2017. The release of the videos coincided with the release of a New York Times article announcing the U.S. government had quietly studied UFOs for five years, 2007-2012, at a cost of $22 million, but dropped the program because of a lack of benefits for the money spent.

Tip of the Iceberg

While the government openly studied UFOs in the past, such as during 1952-1969 Project Blue Book era, such studies were thought to be top-secret in recent years and the Pentagon denied their existence.

Ironically, the 2007-2012 program was not “top-secret” but quietly operated out of the Pentagon under a project titled, Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program. Funding for the project was buried deep inside $600-billion budgets. The program was headed by Luis Elizondo, who last year resigned from the Department of Defense. In his resignation letter to DOD Secretary James Mattis, Elizondo cited a lack of support within the DOD for the study of UFOs.

Elizondo has said that while funding for the study ended in 2012, he continued to study UFOs while working another job at the DOD up till 2017. He continued the study of UFOs because reports of chases and sightings continued to land on his desk. The only thing that apparently changed was the funding for an official program with a governmental name.

Within days of his resignation from the DOD, Elizondo joined with other former government officials to continue studying UFOs in a private corporation called To the Stars Academy of Arts and Science, founded by former rocker Tom DeLonge of Blink 182 fame. The “public benefits” corporation is trying to raise money to further the studies of science and aviation and to publish in entertainment venues.

Elizondo to speak in New Jersey

Elizondo is clearly at the center of the recent whirlwind of breaking news about the government’s disclosure of UFOs. As such, he is to highlight the work of the secretive UFO study he headed officially for five-years, and then for five years afterwards, when he speaks at the upcoming 2018 MUFON Symposium in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, July 27-29. MUFON is the oldest and largest UFO investigatory organization of its type in the world. It is a volunteer organization and receives no funding from any government. Attendees to the weekend-long event need not be MUFON members.

“This is the beginning of a new era for all Americans,” Flammer stressed. “We can only hope Mr. Elizondo tells us at the Symposium that he is optimistic there will be full disclosure in the future of all the contacts our government has had with whomever or whatever operate these UFOs.”

Flammer added, “We should know the truth about things in our skies before we find out the hard way, perhaps by a spaceship landing on the lawn of the White House to announce an alien invasion.”

He paused: “Do you think this an overly dramatic point of view? If so, then you tell me: What’s inside the UFOs and why are they here? Likely, the government knows... We can only hope they know - because we don’t.”
