Astrological Forecast for October 2018

October reminds us to start turning inward with our awareness. Temperatures start to get cooler and the leaves here in New England start to turn different colors.
Venus, the planet that rules the signs of Taurus and Libra, reflects the need to turn inward as it stations retrograde at 10 degrees of Scorpio on October 5th (3:04PM EDT).
Every 18 months Venus turns inward asking us to get more in touch with our personal joys of life. What do you really enjoy? This question is being asked for the signs it rules, and since Venus is in Scorpio currently and will retrograde back into Libra, these two signs are being influenced most.
What is your financial situations? What do you enjoy spending your money on? Do you think your relationships are in balance? Do you think you need to make some adjustments in the way you look? Is your life feeling in balance or out of balance? Do I need to lose weight? Are material thinks more important to me than spiritual unseen things?
These are some of the questions everyone will be asking themselves as Venus travels in retrograde motion fromOctober 5 till November 16, 2018. The signs of Taurus, Libra and Scorpio will feel the influence more deeply.
We start off with Venus in Scorpio at 10 degrees then Venus will enter Libra on November 1 at 29 degrees and then station direct at 25 degrees of Libra on November 16, move back into Scorpio in direct motion on December 3, 2018.
The new Moon in Libra at 15 degrees (11:47PM) on October 8th shows issues surrounding relationships (Libra) and judicial balance. Libra is affiliated with laws to create balance.
Happy Columbus Day on this new Moon day. My Italian Grandmother would always say that this is a celebration for Italians since Columbus discovered America and was Italian. Eat lots of pasta and pizza.
Both Sun and Moon are in square to Pluto in Capricorn and Cancer rising in this new Moon chart caste for Washington, D.C. The attentions get turned up for the upcoming midterm elections. What is the new face (Cancer) of America looking like? Adjustments need to be made (Sun and Moon square to Pluto and rising), a transformation from issues that are hidden (Pluto) that will not be able to hide anymore.
Issues surrounding power and how we use it to create balance. For the signs of Libra, Capricorn and Cancer, this is a new beginning as to how you deal with your own personal power in relationship to others. Remember, Venus is retrograde in Scorpio and Pluto is the natural ruler of Scorpio.
Venus is trine to the rising sign of Cancer, trine to Neptune in Pisces and Neptune is trine to rising forming a grand trine in water signs. The signs of Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces are feeling relaxed and a great time to start up a new spiritual program or deepen the existing one already in practice. Try not to become too relaxed as there are bills that need paying. LOL.
This new Moon offers a new beginning for America that is promising as the part of fortune is conjunct, right on top, of the rising at 15 degrees of Cancer.
Mercury moves into Scorpio on October 9th, just after the new Moon on Monday and this deepens the inner journey if you have Sun, Moon or rising in Scorpio.
The Sun enters Scorpio on October 23 building on the Scorpio energies I have already pointed out in the previous paragraphs.

The full Moon represents completions. The October 24th full Moon is in the sign of Taurus at 1 degree. Taurus is the opposite sign of Scorpio and both signs deal with financial matters.
While Taurus deals with money earned on a daily basis, Scorpio deals with income earned through partnerships and also inheritance. The full Moon chart shows less tensions with more opportunities than what we have seen in the last few new and full Moon charts from the past couple of months.
The reason for this is there are no T-squares and lots of sextiles and trines to the rising sign of Capricorn. If you have Sun, Moon or rising in Taurus, Scorpio or Capricorn, this combination brings opportunities to earn more money.
Since Uranus conjuncts this full Moon in Taurus at zero degrees of Taurus, the creative impulse is magnified and the ability to find unique ways to earn money is present. However, this combination can also make the sign of Taurus restless and the need for emotional freedom is strong. Don’t fence me in is the motto for this full Moon signature.
Nancy Pelosi has her natal Saturn at zero degrees of Taurus, so the full Moon and Uranus are right on top of her natal Saturn. This is a make or break period for her. I think that the new Moon on October 8 till this full Moon on October 24is the make or break period for her continuing as the house speaker or minority leader of the Democratic Party.
The Democratic Party may encourage her to resign or retire during the new Moon period up to the full Moon. Let’s see what happens with her choices by the full Moon. It would be much healthier for the party to start off with a new vision before the mid-term election which would be only a couple of weeks away from the full Moon.
Mercury moves into Sagittarius on the last day of October helping those born under the sign of Scorpio as Mercury rules thoughts and communications. Also, Venus will move out of Scorpio in retrograde motion into the sign of Libra on the same day.
Now we have both Venus and Mercury out of Scorpio and into healthier/optimistic signs like Sagittarius and Libra. It’s time for the sign of Libra to balance their checkbooks and define for themselves what is out of balance in their life and what brings them the most joy.
