The Ultimate Realignment: Pray For Humanity

by Margaret Ann Lembo

At the time I am writing this, we are in our third week of sequestering and distancing from each other due to the Global Pandemic 2020. The time has come for the ultimate realignment of humanity.

One person at a time

As a human race change must occur. Collectively, we must join together to overcome this invisible energy that overwhelms and creates chaos.

As an individual change must occur. Each and every one of us must individually go within and step away from the chaos that is currently occurring as well as the personal chaos that created negative experiences you were living prior to this pandemic. We must realign.

To realign we must change. I must change. You must change. And, collectively, we must change our way of being in the world and return to love, kindness, compassion, tolerance, and acceptance.

Love, Kindness, Compassion, Tolerance, and Acceptance

During the imposed pause on our lives we are being called to make a shift in our connection with the Divine and with each other. For the ultimate realignment of humanity to take place requires that we spend time in quiet contemplation to observe ourselves ~ to review our behaviors toward self, loved ones, and strangers.

Maintain focus and make it a discipline to recapitulate your day each evening. Using your memory, recall your day from beginning to end. Observe if your words and actions resonated with love and kindness. Contemplate how much laughter and joy existed. Notice how people acted or reacted toward you and reflect on why these experiences have occurred. Do this practice without judgement.

Core Beliefs

“The majority of your core beliefs are established in the first ten years of your life. These years are called the formative years for a reason. This is the time period when you store information that becomes your foundation or your “come from” place for the rest of your life. It may take a wake-up call or a crisis to catapult you into exploring your core beliefs and the events that created those beliefs. Through self-observation and recapitulation of some early events, you can bring about consciousness and awareness. Once there is a realization of what created the belief to start with, then you have something to work with to heal and realign.

Exercise: Recapitulation

The intention of this exercise is to help you remember the belief systems that were imposed upon you as a child. The belief systems helped mold you, but at this moment, you have the opportunity to review these beliefs and decide which ones you want to keep and which ones you are ready to release. Once you clean away what is no longer your truth, you have room to create what you do want in your life. This exercise is part meditation and part writing exercise.

You will need paper or a journal and a pen. Turn off phones and other things that could interrupt your meditative process. Sit comfortably with your spine erect. Place the journal and pen nearby or on your lap. Place all of your awareness on your breath, on the inhalation and the exhalation. Be aware of your hands resting gently in your lap and how your spine supports the structure of your body. Close your eyes and breathe. Observe the expansion of your body when you inhale, and observe the contraction of your body as you exhale. If thoughts arise in your mind, observe the thought and put the thought on hold. Acknowledge the thought and let the thought know you will return to it later. Right now you are doing something else. If the thought persists, pick up your pen and write it down to remove it from your consciousness. Keep in mind that the thought could be a clue for what the exercise will help you with in terms of remembering.

As you continue to focus on your breath, let yourself relax. Relax every part of your body starting with your feet. Simply think to yourself and take a deep breath with each of these thoughts: Feet relax. Legs relax. Hips relax. Internal organs relax. Torso relax. Back muscles relax. Shoulders relax. Arms and hands relax. Face and scalp relax.

Put all of your awareness on the center of your forehead and the center of your chest near your heart. Pick up your pen and write down every place you’ve ever lived from the moment you were born. If you can, include the address, people and situations that you recall from that residence. Allow yourself to go into a free, reeling journaling session where you allow yourself to write in a stream of consciousness. As you jar your memory, feelings will arise. Allow yourself to feel the feelings and write out what you are experiencing.

This exercise can also be done at your computer if you can keep yourself from being distracted. So if you do better writing or journaling when you type instead of writing longhand, then follow your internal guidance system. The point is to allow an awakening of your awareness to help you find the source of your belief systems. You don’t have to change anything, but you may find that the awareness provides the avenue for a shift to take place in a positive way.”

The return to love

It is simple. Love is the answer. Return to prayer. Return to contemplative thought. Return to meditation. Return to self-reflection. Return to dedicating your life to being a better person today than you were yesterday. Give yourself permission to relax into practicing being a kind, loving, and happy person.

“You are love. Your true essence is love. Be aware that you are love in all you do, say, think, feel, smell, taste or know, and you will be happy and healthy all the days of your life.”

Practice

It is easier if you remember that you are practicing. As you observe and realize how you must realign then you can shift from the customary habitual way of acting or reacting and decide you will try handling situations differently. You never know until you try.

Inherently, we are love, pure love. I am love. You are love. Collectively, we are love.

“You are love. Your true essence is love. Be aware that you are love in all you do, say, think, feel, smell, taste or know, and you will be happy and healthy all the days of your life.”
