The most important factor this week will be the government bank bailout. With Mercury retrograde this contract will be filled with flaws. Many cities and suburban towns across the nation are in trouble. One possible benefit for New Jersey is that Manhattan companies that are coming to the end of their leases might consider moving to New Jersey where office rents are much lower. Where would the location be? More than likely, Paramus, the Morristown area and Jersey City/Hoboken.

You're going to see a smaller Wall Street. More banks will fall, and more adjustments will have to be made. Of course, salaries will be less generous and bonus payments will be less. It's going to ripple through the residential market. It’s about time! The credit allowance in this country has been ridiculous. Where has all the money gone? Lining peoples pockets who have more to spend in this lifetime and five more besides. It’s time for a financial readjustment and balance. The middle-class seems to be wiped out, and they are the mainstream of this country! You will see destruction and reconstruction will the top corporations over the next eighteen months. 2010 may be a bit easier for everyone, but 2009 will be a difficult year for all concerned.

Many Wall Street employees who were laid off, will be hired by new boutique investment banks that might be formed by executives from the former investment houses. Although salaries will be 30% lower, this is good in the long run, plenty of talent will be needed to implement the $700 billion bailout plan.

So hang on tight this week…the Vice Presidential Debate is Thursday evening and promises to be a winner – for someone. (I stated that the debates will win the election – especially the Vice Presidential Debates.)
