CANOPY BED
Dear Practitioner,
My sister has a bed that is handmade from pine wood, and it has three 2-3" inch logs in the canopy area above the bed that cross over the chest area, the abdomen and the knee area. Should she be concerned about this, and if so, what type of cures might be used for any bad chi? This bed is very special as it was made by her late husband. Thanks for any insight you might give us.

Generally, canopy beds do not represent a problem. The fabric overhead should have a light appearance and should preferably be in a light color. This is to avoid the feeling that something heavy or threatening is above you.
I’m afraid your sister’s canopy bed sounds like a special case. The criss-crossed "logs" may direct harsh and detrimental flows of energy down at her body while she is sleeping. Over time, this can potentially have a negative impact on her health, her relationships, or both.
The fix for this problem is easy. Assuming that the canopy itself rests above the "logs", have a second piece of fabric just below the "logs". This second sheet should have a light, airy feel and should generally conceal the logs but need not cover them in their entirety.
FRIGHTENED ABOUT DEBTS

I heard a lot about you and I am writing to you with utmost faith in you and I hope you will be able to solve my problem.
I am into marketing of scientific Instruments. I am in the business for the last seven years but I am into making debts rather than making profits. I am weighed down with debts. I am really scared about my future as I don’t know what to do or where I am heading. I had been to various astrologers but it did not yield any results.

I feel your anxiety and pain deeply and your concerns echo those of so many other people in modern society. You do not give me much information to go on but I do believe I can be of help.
First, let’s look at your business since that is an important channel for your inflow of prosperity. It sounds like your business has potential. A rapidly developing country such as India must have a tremendous need for scientific instruments. You have been in the business for seven years so you must have had some income. It’s just that debts are finally catching up with you. Know that this situation can be turned around. Are you blocking or limiting your prosperity luck in any way? Are there ways to open up your prosperity channels? Are there new companies you can approach for sales? Are there new cities or states that you can expand your business into? Would it help to hire a sales assistant or even a commission-based sales staff? Let your creative juices flow when it comes to growing your business!
To encourage the flow of energy into your business, place a small fountain in the north sector of your office. Place a small plant, preferably a jade plant, in the southeast corner. Place a large denomination bank note face up under the plant. The plant will symbolically "grow" the money!
Work on changing your thinking! The reality is that we live in a universe of unlimited supply. In fact, the abundance is beyond our wildest imagination. There is really only one source of all prosperity and that source is the same whether you name it god, spirit, supreme being, universal energy, or whatever. This source wants you to have all good things. Focus your consciousness on being fully open to prosperity and on believing that you deserve the best of everything. Meditate on the universal energy pouring wealth into your business and into your life. Each time you practice this "prosperity thinking", energetic changes will be put into effect in your life. The more you accept your divine right to abundance, the more you will see positive changes on the material plane.
POSITIONING A NEW HOME

My husband and I will be buying a new home and we were given the choice of which lot we want our home to sit on. We have chosen a lot where the house will face south and it is directly in front of a park. Also, my husband just started a new business in real estate - buying and selling residential, commercial and investment properties. The office will be on the north side of the home. Did we choose the correct direction for our new home to face?
My birthday is March 8, 1966 and my husband’s birthday is March 15, 1965.

Dear Mary,
There are a number of ways to determine a good facing direction for your new home. One method is based on your best directions according to your birth dates. It happens that both you and your husband have the same four good directions and these are west, southwest, northeast and northwest. Your new house does not face (front side) or sit (rear side) in any of your good directions, but do not despair!
More important is the layout of the unseen influences in the house. This is determined by a "flying star" analysis. The term "flying stars" refers to the energies that flow, over time, through the house. A house, such as yours, which is constructed in the current energetic period (2004 to 2024) and faces south, can be very auspicious if the floor plan is laid out in accordance with the unseen energies in the house. For example, bedrooms should be located in the area of the house where the energies are most supportive of good health and good relationships. The home office should be located in energy that is most supportive of prosperity.
In your particular house, the best bedroom locations will be anywhere in the front of the house and in the center rear of the house. The northeast corner of the house will be an excellent location for the home office.
