Divine Wisdom From Michele Livingston
by Michele Livingston
Dear Michele,
If our souls are reincarnated into different bodies over time, when we pass how do we meet up with our specific loved one and how do we know them? Say my mother lived previously in another life, when I pass on will she be there for me or will she be with the family from her prior life? I really think we do come back for life lessons and I’m just trying to understand how it works. I have been to your seminars and believe you do wonderful work.
Thank you,
John T.
Hi John,
Good question! There is so much to share about the dynamics of our spiritual progression. I consulted my guides, called the light beings, and received the following:
Our souls were sparked out from the Divine Creator eons ago, like sparks from a large eternal flame. You are an exhalation from the cosmic breath of God (whatever you perceive God to be). A soul or spirit is an intelligent higher consciousness – an electromagnetic impulse of energy – that was created in love and can never be destroyed. The physical body houses the soul each lifetime, and the soul is like the driver of the car, the body being the car. In the next dimension there is no time, space or physical form to house the spirit. The soul then is free to astrally travel through other realms, progress, expand its consciousness or even splinter off and go in different directions. Each spirit will choose how it wants to advance, develop and learn. For example, in the fourth dimension, there are temples of wisdom, where we can focus our intentions on creative pursuits. We can learn concepts of art, music, literature and science. We can choose to work with other soul groups for a common cause to serve humanity. There are as many endeavors on the other side (in a spiritual sense) as there are physical projects on earth. Our intelligent consciousness (which is our soul) retains all of the experiences, memories, emotions, thought forms, personalities and skills from previous lives. Thus, each spirit is a unique composite of all that it has ever experienced.
A human soul, in its purest form, is neither male nor female. We can choose, though, to incarnate into a male or female body to learn particular soul lessons for advancement. Let’s say one is choosing to learn humility, tolerance, courage, patience or unconditional love. Think how different the life journey would be as a male or as a female! Each human being has a "core soul," the analogy of which is like the large head of an octopus with many tentacles. The head is the core and the tentacles represent different facets, perceptions and lifetimes of the soul, yet all are one.
Each soul consciousness in the fourth dimension has a distinct light that emanates from it, like a cosmic fingerprint. Therefore, on the other side we will recognize and be magnetized to members of our own "soul group" by their light. It is most probable that people we are now incarnated with have been with us before, playing certain roles. We make contracts or agreements to be with others before we incarnate. For example, your present mother may have been your sister or friend in a past life, your father may have been your brother or son and so on. When we first arrive on the other side we will recognize departed friends or relatives, and see them in a translucent form. Many who have had near death experiences have immediately recognized departed relatives from their present family. Our departed use the energy from their "light body" to create a physical looking body, so that we may be comforted upon arrival into the fourth dimension.
In the other realms the frequency is much higher than in our dense, heavy, third dimensional world. So John, if your mother lived previously in another life, she will rejoin her extended soul group (which you are a part of) when crossing over. You in turn will recognize your mother by her unique light and other members of your soul group when you join them. It’s interesting that some souls from our individual group choose to incarnate physically with us to learn lessons and some choose to stay on the other side to mentor and help us. I hope this answer sheds some light on the subject of recognizing our departed loved ones and on the soul’s journey.
Hi Michele,
I’m just becoming aware that angels do exist and that we all have spirit guides. Can a deceased relative be your guardian angel? Can an angel be your spirit guide? What’s the difference between the two? Thanks,
Marsha M.
Hi Marsha,
Some people get confused about the difference between angels and spirit guides. These terms are often used interchangeably, often referring to deceased loved ones as "guardian angels" when they are actually "spirit guides." Angel’s are light beings that God created to assist human souls on our journey through eternity. Angels are androgynous (sexless), and they have never inhabited a human body. However, they can take on a human form in times of need. When I see them in a reading they first appear as a large column of light, which vibrates with different colors. They may take on a slight male or female essence or facial expression and give a name so we, as humans, can better identify with them. Of course, they do not need wings to fly, they merely materialize. They do not have emotions, free choice and free will, as humans do, but take assignments from the Higher Power. Angels were created and are directed to do certain tasks, in other dimensions as well as on the earth plane. There are many kinds and levels of angels (healing angels, birthing angels, archangels and so on), but it’s your guardian or companion angel that never leaves your side during a lifetime.
Spirit guides, on the other hand, are human souls who have inhabited a physical body and have lived on the earth plane at some point in history. They are not necessarily your departed relatives (although they can be) and you don’t have to know them from another lifetime. They definitely know and see you through the veil. They have bonded with you and have trained to be your helpers. We all have one main lifetime guide who is always with us and sometimes project guides will volunteer to help us with tasks like writing a book, composing a song or even building a new home. Angels are distinctly different from guides but as you can see their missions are often similar.
